Terms and Conditions
The terms on which you use Find a Venue, as an organiser, a venue or a supplier. Last updated 3 November 2026.
1. Who we are
Find a Venue (findavenue.co.uk) is operated by Programmatic Advertising Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11511858), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, VAT number GB 315 1326 43. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company. You can contact us at concierge@findavenue.co.uk.
By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What Find a Venue does
Find a Venue is a free directory of event venues and of the suppliers whose products and services support them. People planning an event (“organisers”) use it to find and contact venues and suppliers.
We are not a party to any booking and we do not act as agent for either side. The contract for the hire of a space or a service is between the organiser and the venue or supplier.
3. Your account
Some features need an account. You must give accurate details. We sign you in with a single-use link sent to your email; there is no password. Keep access to that email secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
4. If you are an organiser
- Searching the site, saving venues, sending enquiries and sending a brief are free.
- Venue details, capacities and prices are supplied by the venues, and each venue is responsible for its own listing. We cannot guarantee that every detail is accurate or up to date. Prices shown are starting prices, not quotes.
- Always confirm the date, the price, what is included and the cancellation terms with the venue before you book.
- You pay the venue directly, on the terms you agree with it. Any dispute about a booking is between you and the venue.
- When you send a brief, you agree that we may share it with venues that fit it.
5. How listings are shown
Listings are free. A listing is published only after the venue or supplier has approved it. Listings are shown in random order, and search filters such as occasion, location and capacity narrow the results. A venue or supplier that takes part in a promotion or advertising offer may be shown more prominently; these placements are always labelled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement”.
6. The concierge service
What you get
For the event described in your request, a concierge selects up to 20 venues that fit and sends them to you as a shortlist. If you are not happy with a shortlist, tell us and we send another shortlist of up to 20 venues. We repeat this until you tell us you are happy.
What is not included
The concierge service is a search service. It does not include the hire of a venue, and we do not guarantee that any venue will be available on your date or will accept your booking. You book and pay the venue yourself.
Cost
The concierge service is free for you. We do not charge you anything for it, and you are under no obligation to book any venue or supplier we suggest. We start work when we confirm that we have received your request.
This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
7. If you list a venue
- Listing your venue is free. We do not charge venues for being listed.
- Promotions, advertising and other paid initiatives are offered separately and individually, are optional, and apply only if the venue accepts them in writing.
- Each venue is responsible for its own listing. You must have the authority to list the venue, and everything in your listing must be accurate and kept up to date: capacities, prices, licence hours, accessibility and photos.
- You must own the photos and text you upload, or have permission to use them. You give us permission to show them on the site and to use them to promote your listing.
- We do not publish a listing until the venue has approved it. We may decline or remove a listing that breaks these terms.
- You must answer enquiries honestly and honour the prices and terms you agree with an organiser.
- You can change your listing at any time, or remove it, from your account.
8. If you list a service (suppliers)
- Creating a supplier profile is free. We do not charge suppliers for being listed.
- We publish a supplier profile only once the supplier has approved it, and the supplier can change it at any time.
- You must have the authority to represent the business, and everything in your profile must be accurate and kept up to date, including services, areas covered, prices and contact details.
- You may upload up to 12 photos. You must own them or have permission to use them, and you give us permission to show them on the site and to use them to promote your profile.
- Our concierge service may send you requests for quotes from people planning an event, by email from concierge@findavenue.co.uk. If you agree a price and terms with a client, you must honour them.
- Promotions, advertising and other paid initiatives are offered separately and individually, are optional, and apply only if the supplier accepts them in writing.
- You can ask us to update or remove your profile at any time.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site. In particular, you must not try to gain access to it without permission, copy its content in bulk, send unsolicited marketing through it, or use it to contact venues or organisers for any purpose other than arranging an event.
10. Our content
The design, text and software of the site belong to us or to our licensors. You may use the site for your own event planning or to manage your own listing. You may not copy or reuse its content for any other purpose without our written permission.
11. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
- If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for the acts of a venue.
- If you are a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss. Our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in those 12 months or £300, whichever is greater.
We do not own or run the venues and we are not responsible for the quality, safety or legality of a venue or of an event held in it.
12. Your personal data
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data.
13. Changes
We may change the site and these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
